CherryGun, Sioux Falls, SD

Minneapolis-based CherryGun played Hot Summer Nites in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on July 12, 2017 with hundreds of Corvettes on display just down the street. The stage was set up outside the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Sciences and a great crowd enjoyed the tunes.

My son Cody spent three years as the drummer for CherryGun, but this was the last show I was able to photograph him at. It was a fun stretch with Amy and Dan Monaghan and Cory Carlson. Thanks for the memories and great photos guys!

CherryGun, Larchwood, IA

CherryGun played two nights at the Grand Falls Casino in Larchwood, Iowa on February 24-25, 2017. Cody Coppess, Cory Carlson, Amy Monaghan and Dan Monaghan put on their usual musically-tight show. The casino is just a few miles east of Sioux Falls and Brandon, South Dakota.

CherryGun, Savage, MN

CherryGun played Neisen's Sports Bar in Savage, Minnesota on March 26, 2016 to an enthusiastic crowd. Three of us photographers were capturing the action that night, so we almost equaled the number of members in the band.

As always, Cody Coppess, Cory Carlson, Amy and Dan Monaghan were a blast to shoot.

CherryGun, Pierre & Watertown, SD

Late January of 2016 provided a big week for Minneapolis group CherryGun. Drummer Cody Coppess lead the band back to his hometown of Pierre, South Dakota for a "monumental" appearance at Mount Rushmore's 75th birthday party during the Governor's Conference on Tourism. They capped off the week with a two-night stand at the Dakota Sioux Casino in Watertown, South Dakota.

"Be Monumental" was the theme for the Tourism Conference and seemed appropriate for CherryGun's showcase in front of the tourism industry. Everyone was raving about the band's talent and inquiring about booking them into their towns and festivals. Thanks goes out to the Mount Rushmore Society for hiring the evening's entertainment.

As the band moved on to the Watertown gigs, lead singer Amy M realized she was getting sick. Despite a rough couple nights and almost losing her voice entirely before the second show, she put in a great performance.
