Here's the out-of-focus shot of me with Brett Michaels that I promised. This was taken by a roadie that apparently couldn't operate the point-and-shoot camera I handed him.

Poison, Rapid City, SD

This is Brett Michaels of Poison on the "Ratt Poison" tour outdoors at the Central States Fairgrounds on July 11, 1987. I really enjoyed Poison's performance that afternoon, but Ratt was lackluster.



I showed this picture to Brett several years later and he asked where I shot it. I said Rapid City, and he said, "Oh yeah, we were opening for Ratt that day weren't we? Windy as heck as you can see by my hair." I was amazed he could remember something like that.

That's a painting of bassist Bobby Dall behind him. It was artwork based on their first album cover in front of the speaker stacks.

Poison, Evansville, IN

Poison was my favorite of the 80s Hair Metal movement, and I think a lot of people would agree.

This show was February 12, 1991 at Roberts Stadium in Evansville, IN. Wild stage setup with lasers, pyro and great lighting. Trixter and Slaughter opened the show (see earlier post for a Slaughter shot).



C.C. Deville and Bobby Dall (above) seemed to be having a great time. Nice shot of the Roberts Stadium ceiling. There's a story to tell from a different concert that involves that ceiling. Look for it in an upcoming post. That's Bobby again below.



Somewhere I have a badly out-of-focus shot of me and Brett Michaels backstage afterwards that some roadie shot with my camera. If I find it, I'll post it.
