Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, Mitchell, SD

Quite often when musical artists reach an age and several years past the peak of their popularity, it is easy to not expect great quality from them as they continue to record and tour.

I'm happy to report that all expectations were met by Pat Benatar and her husband/guitarist Neil "Spyder" Giraldo on their 35th Anniversary Tour at the World's Only Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota on August 22, 2014. At age 61 Pat not only still looks great, but sounds incredible. Neil has not lost any of his chops on the guitar or piano either.

Musically this was the most enjoyable concert I've seen in quite some time. Surprise of the night was a fun rendition of Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire." Who would have expected that from an 80s pop queen?
