Atlanta Rhythm Section, Vermillion, SD

Okay, we are really reaching back into the vaults for this one. I believe this is the first time I ever pointed a camera at a big-name entertainment group.

The Atlanta Rhythm Section were the first rock act to ever play in the University of South Dakota's Dakotadome in Vermillion. The show was October 7, 1981 and had a very small turnout.

The main thing I remember is that seating was only in the balcony section and the stage was quite a ways out into the football field area. That left a huge gap of nothingness between the audience and the band, which the band suggested be changed for future shows there.
