As long as we are talking concerts in Deadwood, here's the big annual fall blues festival - the Deadwood Jam. John McEuen of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band started "The Jam" in 1990.
Deadwood's historic train depot has been converted to a visitor information center and the Jam is held in the parking lot.
That's Steve Earle on the stage above on Sept. 17, 2005. Past entertainers have included the Wallflowers, Young Dubliners, the Atlanta Rhythm Section, Blues Traveler, Kenny Wayne Sheperd, Arlo Guthrie, Poco, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Firefall, Edgar Winter, Jefferson Starship, and The Georgia Satellites.
The 2009 lineup for the Jam has not been announced yet, but will be here.

I've never been to the Deadwood Jam, but I have been to Wild Bill Days. (Kory and the Fireflies) Back in 2007, the guys got rained out. That was such a bummer for me, especially since the opening bands got a chance to perform.
